Tom has provided tax and investment services to his clients for the last 44 years, helping them achieve their financial life goals. After graduating from the University of Arizona, Tom worked for an international accounting firm and relocated to Alaska where he became an accounting manager at the City of Homer. In 1985, Tom started his CPA practice serving individuals and small businesses in the fields of commercial fishing, marine transportation, and health care, among others.
Tom joined KMS Financial Services, Inc. as an investment advisor in 2003. Through that affiliation Tom met and worked with Eric Westberg, Mark Zellerhoff and Jessie Dean, all KMS employees. Tom obtained the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Tom and his wife recently celebrated their 43rd anniversary and split their time between Tucson, Arizona and Homer, Alaska. Tom’s interests include road cycling, kayaking, alpine skiing, hiking, boating and fishing. Tom has always focused on giving back to his community and recently had the pleasure of being a Big Brother in Homer and currently serves as a board member with Homer Foundation.
